I booked Hadestown!

On Monday 21 October, I could finally share some big news that I’ve had to keep quiet for about three and a half months. I’m in the original Australian company of Hadestown! I will be performing the role of Fate 2 (violin) and covering Persephone. This marks a significant point in my career as an actor-musician and I’m so grateful for the opportunity and to everyone who has played a part in the creative and audition process.

If you want to follow along on this next creative chapter of my life, then follow me on Instagram as I keep that the most up-to-date when it comes to social media. In fact, I’ve gone into a lot of detail on one of my posts on cast announcement day about the audition process, so if you feel like reading it, then head over to my IG @jennifer_trijo

It is surreal to be part of this legacy. I take so much inspiration for composer Anais Mitchell’s page-to-stage process. I remember reading almost every article I could find about how Anais came to write Hadestown when I was preparing to audition. I cannot wait to delve into the text and the rehearsal process with my cast and creatives. I look forward to sharing this journey with you, and I hope to see you at a show some time.
